Who We Are
FAB5’s signature sound is pop music on classical instruments: string quartet with percussion, creating a totally unique & engaging experience for everyone. Their fresh vitality makes them a marvelous crowd-pleaser—elegant programming combined with crossover pop—a fun space for audiences, with a colorful sound world that can not be found anywhere else.
FAB5 is led by Victoria Paterson (Broadway violinist from Wicked, Moulin Rouge, My Fair Lady, West Side Story, Sunset Boulevard, Addams Family). Featuring world-class talent from Broadway, this collective performs themes such as FAB5 goes to the Movies (& TV), Bridgerton Live, FAB5 by Candlelight, Best of Broadway, Celtic & Classical, Family, Arts & Education and much more, always mixing in brand-new music, designed to delight and de-stress.

Committed to the healing power of music, FAB5 is proud to perform in care facilities for patients, doctors, nurses, visitors, and staff at venues such as The Center on Aging at Cornell Weill, Lenox Hill, Mount Sinai Hospital, The Coterie, and more.
Origin Story
FAB5 was founded in 2020 during the pandemic with a groundbreaking kickoff event—a socially distanced, masked, outdoor performance with a string orchestra led by Victoria Paterson at New York City’s Manhattan Plaza. Beautifully filmed and featured on WQXR, this event was one of the very first and only live music performances after more than eight months of silence, drawing national media attention. Victoria was the driving force behind bringing live music back to New York City at the Jacob Javits Vaccination Center in 2021. The FAB5 musicians performed for more than 10,000 patients daily, along with doctors, nurses, staff, and the National Guard. For nearly six months, seven days a week, she led healing arts programs, demonstrating the profound impact of music in a time of crisis. Her leadership in this initiative received widespread public recognition, highlighting the essential role of the arts in enriching and uplifting our humanity.
Today, Victoria continues to deliver vital programs to the New York State community, improving the lives of seniors, hospital patients, children, and individuals with Alzheimer’s. FAB5 loves bringing music to communities with “rush hour” and “lunchtime” concerts, making first-rate performances accessible to everyone.
In 2021, Victoria Paterson and her team of musicians brought music and hope to the Javits Vaccination Center, playing for everyone who was in that mandatory 15 minute wait after their Covid injection. Due to varying degrees of isolation, many people had not been in close contact with anyone for months. I saw tears, I saw dancing in the aisles and I saw exhausted medical staff brighten as they listened. I saw at first hand the power music can have.
